Transcendence Theatre Company Presents Broadway Under the Stars
For those who love live theater productions, the virtual curtains are parting beginning this month as Sonoma-based Transcendence Theatre Company offers its annual Broadway Under the Stars summer series free of charge.
The highly acclaimed Transcendence Theatre Company is a regional company comprised of exceptional musical theatre artists with Broadway, National and International Tour, and film/televisions credits. This fast-emerging leader in the production of unique theatrical experiences began in 2007, ultimately “landing” in Sonoma after two years of nomadic theatre life in Mexico and around the United States. The company has been presenting their award-winning Broadway-style concert series since 2011 in the “majestic, open-air ruins” of the Koehler & Frohling Winery at the Jack London State Historical Park.
Rather than keep their theatre “dark” this season, Transcendence decided the highly anticipated Broadway Under the Stars show must go on, even if that meant offering it virtually. This theatrical experience includes “electrifying song and dance, combining phenomenal talent from Broadway and beyond, the scenic beauty of wine country vineyards, and you, the heartbeat of theatre, together for an extra special evening sure to inspire and astound.”
Beginning July 10th and running through September 13th, the company will hold four unique concerts, comprised of “never before seen footage and performances including over 100 artists that have graced the Transcendence stage over the past eight seasons.” All of these shows are streamed live online for free although registration is required and donations are appreciated.
Each show runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with show times at 7:30pm all three days and at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. Pre-show festivities begin a half hour before the curtain rises.

A phenomenal ride of song and dance starring a cast of some of the best and brightest young people in Sonoma County performing alongside your Broadway Under the Stars favorites. With twists and turns, magic and mayhem, animals and aliens unite to seek the transformative power of art and find it knows neither time nor limits. Enjoy songs from Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz, Sound of Music, and some of your favorite Disney classics.

Gala Celebration

The Gala Celebration is Transcendence Theatre Company’s largest fundraising event of the season which is sure to lift your spirit and warm your heart by compelling songs from West Side Story, Ragtime, Dear Evan Hansen, and others.
