Sunnyvale Art & Wine Festival

Sponsored by the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce, the 42nd annual 2016 Sunnyvale Art & Wine Festival will take over downtown this weekend, June 4th and 5th from 10am to 6pm.  Tantalizing food, live music and over 350 artisans will line Murphy Street for two days giving residents and others living in the Silicon Valley another wonderful opportunity to enjoy great food, fine wines, craft beers and entertainment for the entire family.

The entertainment line up includes a wide variety of bands to appeal to all musical tastes. On Saturday, The Hot Rods kick off at 11am with their musical tribute to early rock-n-roll followed by country band, Whiskey Pass at 12:30pm and cover band Party Monsters at 2:30pm. Guaranteed to get your feet tapping, Third Sol wraps up the day from 4:30 to 6pm. The Jump Kings headline on Sunday at 11am followed by Beatles Tribute Band, Strawberry Souls from 12:30 to 2pm. The Eagles Tribute Band, Lyin’I’s play from 2:30 to 4pm and the festival is closed down to the acoustic rock and reggae sounds of Maneck from 4:30 to 6pm.

An event for the entire family, the Sunnyvale Art & Wine Festival has a dedicated area just for kids with carnival rides galore, perfect for allowing little ones to play and explore away from the crowd. Jumpy houses, giant slides, carousels and other rides are sure to delight kids of all ages.

For those looking to enjoy a libation or two, the options are impressive. From sangria to margaritas, wine and champagne as well as quality craft brews, it’s easy to pair your preference with delicious food items served up by the numerous food vendors.  

Past attendees give Sunnyvale’s festival a solid four stars on Yelp for its lovely location, entertainment, unique and varied artists and the relaxing, welcoming vibe. If you’ve never been and are looking for a more intimate festival environment with all of the perks of a bigger event, the Sunnyvale Art & Wine Festival is sure to please.

The free festival takes place from 10am to 6pm June 4th and 5th. Free parking is plentiful at Plaza del Sol as well as along the streets surrounding the event. Though this is a family-friendly event, your furry family members should stay home as there are no pets allowed except service animals.
