Saratoga Real Estate and The Community of Saratoga, CA

The Dawn Thomas Team’s intimate knowledge of the community makes them experts in Saratoga Real Estate!

Located at the west end of the Santa Clara Valley, Saratoga offers an exceptional balance of suburban and small-town living, along with healthy dollops of outdoor recreation opportunities, community activities and a small but impressive wine and fine dining scene. Overflowing with natural beauty, spacious homes and a commitment to being one of the South Bay’s most family-friendly cities, Saratoga is a regular on “best places to live” lists and in 2009, was named by Forbes Magazine as one of “America’s top 20 most-educated small towns.”

None of these perks come cheap, however; Saratoga has some of the priciest real estate in the Bay Area as well as in the United States. In 2010, Bloomberg Businessweek named it the “most expensive suburb in California,” and a 2016 Coldwell Banker study found Saratoga to be the most expensive place in the United States to purchase a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home (Saratoga’s median price for such a home was $2.453 million).

Despite Saratoga’s exclusive reputation, it is possible to find a comfortable home on a roomy lot for under $2 million. Neighborhoods like Brookview, Prides Crossing, Saratoga Creek and Saratoga Woods offer slightly more “entry-level” opportunities than Saratoga’s more exclusive hillside neighborhoods like Parker Ranch, a planned hillside community with a one-acre lot minimum where homes often fetch sale prices ranging well into eight figures.
