Grab A Seat at The Table in Willow Glen

This summer, The Table will celebrate seven successful years in downtown Willow Glen. Located at the corner of Lincoln and Willow Avenues, The Table offers an ever-changing seasonal menu, progressive wines, unique microbrews, and creative, handcrafted cocktails.

The Table is aptly named as seating is family-style at expansive tables, encouraging a collective environment of socializing over a meal. You’ll meet new people, engage in lively conversation, indulge in mouthwatering food and drink. The owners of The Table, restauranteur and acclaimed executive chef, Jim Stump, and General Manager, Brian Nicholas, have a mutual passion for genuine hospitality that is reflected in their food and the way in which they bring people together.

“We are called The Table because we recognize a table’s unique ability to bring together delicious food, fun drinks, and good people. Many of life’s best memories have been created around a table. The satisfaction of each guest at The Table is paramount and the experience should be as if we had invited you into our own home. Every guest is family, a friend, or a friend we haven’t met yet.”

An urban neighborhood eatery serving contemporary American cuisine that “pays tribute to the people and cultures that call this valley home,” The Table establishes relationships with local ranchers, farmers, and dairies to better understand the origins and integrity of the food they serve. As such, each dish and drink is a showcase of the freshest, highest-quality ingredients.

Executive chef, Jim Stump, is no stranger to the world of restaurants, having been in the business since he was fifteen. He graduated from the California Culinary Academy (now Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts) and went onto work in multiple acclaimed Bay Area restaurants. In 1992, he and Andy Pavicich Jr. opened Los Gatos Brewing Company (which was sold a few years ago and is now Loma Brewing), and in 1997 the partners opened the chop house A.P. Stump’s, which the pair sold about the same time as Los Gatos Brewing. (Stump was the owner of Stumpy’s in Willow Glen, which closed its doors in 2017 and is also a partner at the seafood-centric Forthright Oyster Bar & Kitchen in Campbell.)

In 2012, Stump and his General Manager/Partner Brian Nicholas, launched The Table in Willow Glen. Says Stump, “I wanted to get back to the basics of great cooking. I wanted to be more in touch with the ingredients and return to what excited me about food.” Nicholas has over fourteen years in the hospitality industry and is a graduate of the Court of Master Sommelier’s arduous Advanced Sommelier Exam. He has commanded the beverage and services programs in multiple Silicon Valley establishments, including A.P. Stump’s, before working with Jim Stump to introduce The Table to Willow Glen, Silicon Valley, and beyond. “I’m excited to be a part of a project with so much passion and creativity behind it,” Nicholas explains, “it’s unlike anything this area has seen before.” Stump’s divine culinary skills coupled with Nicholas’s deep understanding of wines, beers, and cocktails is a huge part of what makes The Table a memorable dining experience.

The Table serves weekday brunch on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9am to 2pm and a weekend brunch beginning at 8:30am on weekends. Omelets, Shrimp and Grits, Eggs Benedict, French Dip, burgers (including The Impossible Burger), salads, and the fried chicken sandwich are only a smattering of the brunch options. Their classic cocktails include a bottomless Mimosa, a house recipe Bloody Mary, and an array of incredible signature cocktails like the Ricky Baker created with gin, lemon, cayenne, cinnamon, and club soda.

The Table is open every day for dinner and they are also known for their happy hour when draft beer and tap wines are 20% off and well drinks are $5. There is a happy hour menu with featured cocktails including one called Lawyers, Guns & Money, a blend of bourbon, pomegranate syrup, lemon, house bitters, and ginger beer. Fantastic bar foods with a twist make up the happy hour menu: Bacon Mac n’ Cheese, grilled cheese with aged white cheddar and house pickles, roasted bone marrow, and of course, burgers. They also offer an “Adult Meal Deal” called the One-Hitter Quitter, which consists of the signature Table burger, plus the bartender’s selection of draft beer and a shot, all for $16.

The Table is all about food, drink, and people. If you haven’t experienced this memorable Willow Glen eatery, we encourage you to drop in for brunch, happy hour, or dinner. You’ll leave having enjoyed an incredible meal, amazing drinks, and with a few new friends to boot.
