Best Views and Places to Live in California

November 3, 2021/in Luxury Real Estate, Palo Alto/by Dawn Thomas

California is a big state with lots to see. If you are looking for the best places to live in California or just want to get a better idea of what the best views are of the state, it can all be a bit overwhelming. It can be easy to get mixed up with all the great locations you’ll hear about — Monterey, Carmel, Mill Valley, Yosemite Valley. It can all be a bit confusing and you may not know where the best locations are for buying a home, raising a family, or just going on an adventure.

Luckily, we’ll walk you through a quick guide of some of the best places to visit if you are going on a road trip or live if you are thinking about buying a house in the Golden State.

Palo Alto

Palo Alto is a beautiful and vibrant location in the San Francisco Bay Area. With amazing homes, upscale restaurants, and the home to Stanford University, Palo Alto has a lot to offer. Less than an hour from the stunning views of Santa Cruz and the amazing surrounding Bay Area, Palo Alto is in the perfect centralized location. If you are looking to buy a home in Palo Alto and need some advice or don’t even know where to start, contact our team at Silicon Valley and Beyond to get a better idea of what you can expect.

Santa Clara

In the southern Bay Area, and just an hour from the famous Golden Gate Bridge and two hours from Pfeiffer Beach, Santa Clara is an amazing city near San Jose. Whether you are wanting to hang out at the beach, visit Alcatraz Island, or check out some of the interesting museums and sights like the award-winning Intel Museum, Santa Clara is an amazing location with tons of activities and sights to see.

San Diego

One of the southernmost cities of California, San Diego is a stunning location that offers a little bit of everything. From the beautiful beaches of the Pacific Ocean to the art galleries in Coronado Island to the gigantic and expansive Balboa Park, San Diego is a must-see destination if you are in the area. Whether you are looking to golf, surf, or just relax on the beach, San Diego is the perfect destination for you.

Lake Tahoe

One look at the crystal blue waters of Lake Tahoe and you may never want to leave. Nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, Lake Tahoe has year-round attractions. Whether you want to hike, boat, snowboard, ski, or just want to go sightseeing, Lake Tahoe has it all — hiking trails, waterfalls, even a National Forest

These are just some of the locations we didn’t even talk about: Napa Valley, Santa Barbara, Big Sur, and more. If you want to learn more about these locations or want to discuss the idea of living in California and understanding more about the state like the cost of living, the culture, or more, please give our team at Silicon Valley and Beyond a call today.
