60 Minutes had a pretty interesting segment on SpaceX, an aeronautical company based out of southern California, and the first private citizen, Elon Musk to launch a space vehicle into space and bring it back. Very fascinating and obviously something of interst here in the Silicon Valley with Moffet Field, and NASA here in our own back yard!
The San Jose Tech Museum of Innovation is now showcasing a new multimedia exhibit which focuses on the International Space Station, and marks its only appearance on the West Coast. Guests to the exhibit can learn about the 24/7/365 space-based research that brings results down to Earth to play a role our daily lives. The exhibition will also feature hands-on activities, imagery and audio and visual technology to give visitors an idea of just how vast our solar system is and how much more there is to learn.
If you haven’t been to the tech museum lately, now might be a good time to go. The exhibit starts today and runs through the week. Although the calendar says its the first day of spring, my iPhone says it will be cold and rainy for the next six days!
