Looking for a healthy alternative to burgers, beer and football on Labor Day weekend? Check out the Second Annual Run for a Healthy World race on Monday Labor Day, September 6! The Labor Day race will again start and finish in the Sunnyvale Baylands Park.
This event includes a 5K run/walk and a 10K run. Both are run on mostly flat courses running through the marsh lands in the Baylands Park. Parts of the run will use a mx of levee trails, as well as dirt and paved roads. If you’re thinking this all sounds familiar – the same group puts together a similar event on New Year’s Day in the Palo Alto Baylands!
The funds raised from this event will support the charitable programs of World Runners. These programs include the education of young women in Africa, microfinance in third world countries and the Health Trust locally.
