On warm summer evenings – we often look for restaurants where we can sit on the patio to enjoy a great dinner. One of our favorites is Cascal Restaurant on Castro Street in Mountain View. Their front patio is huge – and is the perfect place to sip a sangria and watch the world go by.
Rumor has it that Cascal offers “large” plates – but we never seem to get past the “small” plates or tapas. One of our favorites is the sampler of Cascal’s best tapas. I always strategically position the platter so that the prosciutto wrapped dates are nearest to me. Cascal offers weekday “Mojito Madness” Happy Hour with half-price mojitos, house margaritas, sangria, and caiprinha from 3:30 to 6:30 pm.
